1.SNORKELING to Archampoli taken out of an island landscape, it has blue and
clear waters and soft white sand. It is a relatively unknown beach for most as it
has no shade but is bathed in sunlight and surrounded by imposing rocks.
Archampoli beach is located on the northern side of the eastern coastline of
Karystia, in Evia. The beach of Archampoli really looks like a paradise on earth
as unique landscapes of wild beauty surround the coast, making your dives more
charming. There, also ends the canyon and the ravine that flows from a torrent,
which starts from Ochi and ends in a picturesque bay.

2. Hiking (Platanistós – Potámi 7,84km) Go hiking or biking in the mountains.
Platanistos is located in a mountainous area and there are many great trails for
hiking and biking. The trails offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside
and are a great way to get some exercise and fresh air.

3. Visit the nearby beaches. Potami is located on the eastern coast of Evia and
has some of the best beaches in the region. The beaches are known for their soft
sand, clear waters, and beautiful scenery. Some of the nearby most popular
beaches in the area include Kastri Beach, Livadi Beach, and Linari Beach.

4. Visit the village of Istia. Istia is a charming village located a short drive from
Potami. The village is known for its traditional architecture, narrow streets, and
friendly locals. There are also several shops and restaurants in Istia where you
can buy souvenirs and try some local food.

5. Visit the archaeological site of Orei. Orei is an ancient city located a short drive
from Potami. The city was founded in the 8th century BC and was an important
center of trade and commerce. Today, you can see the ruins of the city walls, the
agora, and the theater.

6. Go swimming or diving in the Aegean Sea. The Aegean Sea is a beautiful
body of water with clear waters and an abundance of marine life. Swimming and
diving are popular activities in the area and there are many companies that offer
tours and rentals.

7. Take a boat trip to the nearby islands. There are several islands located off the
coast of Evia that are worth visiting. Some of the most popular islands include
Skopelos, Skiathos, and Alonissos. These islands are known for their beautiful

12. Climbing. The best place for rock climbing in Evia is the Manikia Climbing
Area, located near the village of Aliveri in central Evia. This relatively new area,
developed in 2018, offers a variety of climbing routes suitable for different skill
levels.

13. Windsurfing. Dragonara Beach in Karystos is known for its strong winds,
particularly during the summer months when the Meltemi blows. This can make it
a good spot for experienced windsurfers. However, conditions can be
challenging, so be sure to assess your skill level and the wind conditions before
heading out. Also, the Cavodoro Straits (east coast of Karystia) are often subject
to strong and lasting north winds and windsurfing in the more enclosed bays can
be very exciting. This is the case for the north-facing coastline of Karystia.

14. DRAGON HOUSES. A very challenging archaeological wonder lies in the
area of Southern Evia: it’s the 25 famous huge constructions called Drakóspita
(=Dragonhouses). Always located on steep and dominating location, they are
built with huge slabs of limestone which form a pyramid-shaped roof: opposite
walls converge towards each other as the slabs are put on top one another with
each of them protruding as regards its inferior one. Other architectural features
include monolithic jambs and lintels, as well as stone shelves protruding from the
wall.
